What your gift funds
Digital Asset Tax Advocacy exists to turn research into results. We advocate for specific federal legislation, engage directly with members of Congress and their staff, and mobilize taxpayers to make their voices heard on digital asset tax policy.
Right now that means two campaigns. We are lobbying for a crypto voluntary disclosure program, because millions of taxpayers want to come into compliance and have no clear road to get there. And we are pushing the Tax Relief for Fraud Victims Act — H.R. 9500, ordered reported by the Ways & Means Committee 39–0 — toward passage, because fraud victims should not owe tax on stolen money.
Stolen money should not be taxable income.
Here is what each level of support makes possible:
- $25 Helps a fraud victim reach their representative.
- $100 Puts a constituent letter in front of a congressional office.
- $250 Funds a day of advocacy meetings.
- $1,000 Brings another taxpayer to Washington to tell their story to the lawmakers writing these rules.
Every dollar you give here funds that work: the meetings with lawmakers, the campaigns that put constituents in front of their own members of Congress, and the organizing that turns a good idea into a law.
